The family home provider toolkit is a tool that was developed under the Smart Beginnings initiative, that brings together pupblic and private leaders to improve early childhood education and support for families. The goal is to ensure that children are healthy, well-cared for, and ready to learn when they start kindergarten.
This guide is a comprehensive resource guide designed to support individuals who work with young children in their home. This guide provides tips, ideas and resources for providing a nurturing environment, best practices for communication and engagement with families, and strategies for managing household operations. The toolkit offers templates for documentation, checklists for maintaining safety and cleanliness, and professional development resources. This toolkit aims to enhance the quality of care and ensure positive experiences for both providers and families in the home setting.
